Automotive supplier Wenker to locate new US headquarters in Greenville County

Wenker, Inc., a leading automotive supplier headquartered in Germany, announced it will establish its new U.S. headquarters in Greenville County, investing $3.1 million and creating 27 new jobs.

Wenker is an innovative metal and steel construction company, providing plant engineering and fabricated metal products to the automotive industry.

“We are very proud to build our new U.S. headquarters in Greenville County, here in a community which felt like home from day one,” CEO and Owner Stefan Leers said in a release.

Wenker is already operating in Spartanburg County, the success of which prompted the company to explore larger possibilities in the Upstate of South Carolina. Operations will be locating to a 131,400-square-foot manufacturing facility at 23095 E. Phillips Road in Greer, near the Greenville-Spartanburg International airport and roughly 12 miles from downtown Greenville.

The new facility will allow the company to accommodate increased production operations to the global brands it serves, including BMW, Tesla, Porsche, Volkswagen, Volvo, Ford, Faurecia, Mazda, and Toyota.
