What Furman University just did will have college students changing their summer plans.
For the first time, the Greenville-based liberal arts college is expanding registration eligibility for its popular Summer Business and Innovation Bootcamp. Now, both Furman and non-Furman college students are eligible to attend. The eight-week program is operated by The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and is an immersive, high-impact experience designed to give participants real-world business and innovation experience.
The boot camp is divided between classroom-based learning and real-world project management. After three weeks in the classroom, students will work with local growth-stage companies on active business projects.

The cost of the program includes tuition, housing, meals and access to numerous special events and university experiences. Needs-based scholarships are available. Students need a minimum 2.0 GPA to apply.
The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Furman University is an entrepreneur service organization that works with Furman students and members of the Greenville community. The institute’s curriculum covers various topics related to entrepreneurship, including venture investment, ideation and the launching of startups. Programs include the GVLStarts accelerator, the Paladin Pitch competition and The Hill Hustle Awards and Launch Parties.
