About South Carolina Research Authority

The South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) is a public, nonprofit organization chartered by the South Carolina Legislature to advance innovation, technology commercialization, and economic growth across the state. Through coaching, grant funding, industry connections, and specialized facilities, SCRA supports tech-based startups and university-led research and development projects. SCRA also operates SC Launch, its investment affiliate, which provides funding and resources to help high-growth companies scale.
